Win two ecstasy trips to Ibiza with 538

One of the biggest radio channels in the Netherlands, Radio 538, advertises its Ibiza promotion with two ecstasy pills in the colours of its visual identity; “Listen and win a trip for 2 to Ibiza”. You would almost forget that ecstasy is considered a hard drug – even in the Netherlands. Maybe they should have added a legal disclaimer, saying; “we recommend you to first try one E, to see how it lands, and only then move to the next one”. In any case, an effective ad that will attract the exact right audience for a trip to Ibiza. It also says you should check the 538 website for more info. We did, but couldn’t more info – it probably didn’t fit on the information overloaded website anymore. Anyway, the ad was made by bsur.

Cute poster, but you can hardly call it effective if it sends you to their website and there’s nothing there to back it up.
O.k. fair enough. Still, the poster will appeal to the right target.
Wrong, wrong, wrong. A typically Dutch and immature advertising campaign…how this one passed legal guidelines I ‘ll never know…the final word…Sad
I actually saw this poster last week and was impressed by it. Nice and subtle if yournot into the ‘ibaza’vibe you will not be dissorted by the message aswell. Great work!!!
@Dubinthedam; If you don’t understand a particular field of ‘local’ industry it does not make your short sided commenting right.
@Dubinthedam
Maybe the campaign is sad, but not half as sad as your narow minded comment I’m afraid.
Highlighting hard drug use to sell holidays to a youth market is IMO sad. There is nothing cool about Ecstasy.
