Ewoudt Boonstra worked as an art director – with copywriter Zack McDonald – at KesselsKramer and lastly at Sid Lee. Recently he started his own company; Mr. Boonstra – hidden behind the somewhat strange URL ‘Thisisabrowserwindow‘. His first project is the visual identity, packaging, brand story, and ad campaign for the new gourmet, bio-enhanced ice cream brand Frozen Dutch. According to the press release the result is “a minimalistic design and a brutally frank Dutch approach, focusing on Frozen Dutch’s strongest assets: its delicious flavors”. Well, that seems to make sense. Apart from the fact that we wouldn’t be triggered by ice cream with “appalling flavors”, the packaging and website do look refreshing – excuse the obvious pun.
