Talent Translator

May 19, 2011, AAB

We wrote about this campaign, created by THEY, before; it’s based on the ‘IkKan’ (I can) theme and built around the ‘Talent Translator’. This online platform helps the jobless to focus on what they can do, rather than on what they cannot – sounds logical. And this positive approach should encourage people to look for a job more actively. Whatever. We just like the visual style.

One Comment on "Talent Translator"

  • I thought the visual style was a little boring. Conceptually, it’s a failure.

I should be thinking about my passions and my talents: the times when the whole room can’t believe what I just said, what I just did; when everyone is amazed by me and my huge … talent.

I should feel empowered, but I’m not. I should feel like my one unique, totally personal skill is a diamond in the rough, something waiting to be discovered.

Instead, THEY/Talent Translator decided to remind me of retail stores and factories. I feel processed and rushed. I feel like a cog in the big scary machine that Talent Translator is supposed to protect me from.
