Whohoo! As from this week we’ve launched a newsletter. Originally we thought newsletters were old school, but we changed our minds.

The most important reason for doing so is Facebook. Over the past year it has changed its algorithm so that the organic reach of our Fanpage has strongly declined. That’s pretty frustrating, especially since the amount of fans keeps growing – our page has almost reached the magic number of 5000 friends!

The reason why Facebook doesn’t allow us more traffic is that it wants us to pay for it – our editor-in-chief actually wrote a column about this. But since we have no advertising budget, we want to give you another opportunity to stay in tune with our blog.

Our newsletter will be distributed once a week, with a selection of pieces that were most valued by our readers. The newsletter is powered by MailChimp so you can easily unsubscribe whenever you like, without any effort. And it goes without saying that we’ll only use your email address for the newsletter and nothing else.

If you like the sound of all this, you can subscribe here. MediaMonks also designed a neat little icon for us that you’ll find at the bottom of our menu – so if you need some time to think about it, you can subscribe there.
