Last June we wrote about BIC’s Universal Typeface, an experiment created by DDB Düsseldorf and MediaMonks. The ballpoint brand BIC asked people to write down their own alphabet to generate a crowdsourced typeface. Now the typeface is ready to be downloaded after more than 1.7 million people from more than 150 countries took part in the experiment.

The typeface is categorized by age, gender, industry, country and even if a person is left or right handed, which makes it less universal but even more ingenious.
