BSUR

BSUR, founded in 1995, is an independent international agency based in Amsterdam (HQ), São Paulo and Shanghai, serving global and local clients. BSUR merges design, advertising
and activation to help brands become the most authentic, consistent and
inspiring versions of themselves.
The agency is known for Concepting, a book written by co-founder Jan Rijkenberg, with the central philosophy that only brands that state a clear vision, or convey a genuine, authentic mentality, will cut through the clutter. The book has already been published in four languages and is used at several universities, academies and MBA programs. In the past years BSUR has been featured in Campaign’s list of the World’s Leading Independent Agencies several times.

Silver Fleet

What a nice ‘infographic’ (click to enlarge). It depicts the best agencies in town by comparing them with different ships. We shouldn’t take it too seriously, the introduction tells us, since it is not science and “therefore absolutely not measurable.” Glad we got that straight. The infographic is quite nicely designed (though the body copy… More.

Finding your balance

Yet another cinematographic Roadster adventure; a cliffhanger on a bridge in Istanbul. Apparently they are on their way to a wedding, cause they’re tossing out a wedding cake. The concept is as wobbly as the car balancing on that edge, but that seems to be the intentional, not so serious style of this whole ‘Another… More.

The MINI Coupé; not for ordinary people

We don’t really understand why this Icelandic hitchhiker with mustache is pregnant, nor why he has a criminal doppelganger, but we like the randomness of this commercial for the new MINI Coupé – it feels like a trailer for a new Coen Brothers movie. The other two commercials – ‘Sunday in Rio’ and ‘Love is… More.

Have a look for free

This 20-second commercial for Specsavers was created by BSUR and directed by Michael Sewandono (Comrad). The voice over says “Look around you. Discover. Have a look for free“.
