Mission

As (global) client’s main contact person, the Account Director fosters a strong relationship built on trust with both the client and internal teams, understands like no other client’s business needs and challenges and Sid Lee business objectives and goals. He/she is responsible for the overall management of global accounts, always strives to push the standards on agency output and maximization of client relationship, ROI and account profitability.

Account Direction
• Direct all aspects related to keeping the client – agency relationship optimal
• Act as gatekeeper and go to person in between agency and clients
• Ensure in depth awareness of the different fields of play (industry, brand etc.) and relaying this information to the team.
• Oversee all stages of project planning, executions and deployment to ensure highest level of quality is always met.
• Assure agency resources are marshaled and effectively applied to the account(s).
• Oversee and direct workflow and progress of assigned teams.

People Management
• Motivate and inspire teams to generate imaginative, innovative work and solutions.
• Establish clear directions, set stretching objectives and define clear tasks for team in a well-planned and organized manner
• Day to day management of team as they relate to client needs, goals and objectives
• Maintain two-way dialogue with team members on expectations and results
• Take responsibility for the growth of account/creative production teams through ongoing mentorship and establishment of career growth plans
• Perform regular reviews and evaluations, including remuneration
• Guard maintenance of healthy workloads

Finance Management
• Ensure accurate and profitable project estimates are shared with clients
• Ensure accurate and timely billing process and debt collecting
• Manage all aspects of retainer setup, including ongoing performance evaluation, creating and sharing timely burn reports and quarterly/annual reviews
• Ensure optimal agency profitability on clients
• Actively search for business development opportunities within existing clients

Strategic Planning/Other
• Lead brand related strategic planning sessions, working closely together with client and internal agency strategy team
• Ensure always being up to date on client strategic goals and objectives
• Always be at the forefront of identifying strategic innovation opportunities
• Actively contribute to local agency management discussion with regards to account/people management related subjects

Job Requirements
• Fluent in verbal and written English, knowledge of French a pre
• 5+ years international agency experience
• 2+ years experience as an Account Director working with global brands
• Demonstrated interactive experience required
• Knowledge of digital production tools, processes and software
• Thorough understanding and interest of digital technologies, trends and overall field of industry
• Retail Industry experience and building multi-channel digital strategies are a strong plus for this role
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills managing Account teams
• Strategic understanding of all disciplines of marketing as well as the Client’s business and industry dynamics
• Able to identify innovation opportunities

Role

As the client’s main contact person, the Group Account Director fosters a strong relationship built on trust with both the client and internal team. He or she must understand clients’ business challenges and define their strategic direction. Respective account consists of a variety of sub accounts managed by multiple account management teams. He or she is responsible for the supervision of these account teams as well participates in a variety of projects, while remaining attune to business development opportunities with existing clients.

Responsibilities
• Supervise multiple account teams; (8+ account executives and coordinators)
• Develop client mandates on time and on budget
• Control client overall global agency and production budgets

• Mastery of English, oral and written (Mastery of French, oral and written is a pre but not mandatory)
